Sydney star Adam Goodes has confirmed he will return to AFL action against Geelong on Saturday night.

Goodes missed the Swans’ last-start victory over Adelaide, after being worn down by the incessant booing from opposing fans.

But the two-time Brownlow medallist says he was humbled by the support he had received in the past few days from his teammates, players at other clubs and the broader AFL community.

“Whether this is my last year or not, I really want to go out there and enjoy the last five games of the season and another finals campaign and then we’ll see what happens,” the 37-year-old Goodes told the Swans’ website.
