Greater Western Sydney midfielder Ryan Griffen is in danger of missing the rest of the AFL season after re-injuring his ankle, but the ladder leading club is poised to announce some positive news on the contract front.
Griffen has been sidelined since after round three with a syndesmosis injury, but will be out for a further three months after re-injuring the ankle last Saturday and requiring surgery.
The Giants will on Wednesday announce some player re-signings, though it’s not clear whether their coveted midfielder Josh Kelly will be amongst them.
