The first Sunday game is between the Gold Coast and Greater Western Sydney, 1.10pm at Metricon Stadium. Even though the Suns had an unexpected loss last round
to the struggling Saints, they are still more than likely to win this one. GWS lost by a massive 113 points to the Tigers last round, and while they will be keen to send off
Kevin Sheedy with a win, it probably wont happen.

GWS keen to trade with desperate ‘Dons
Eighth spot on the AFL ladder notwithstanding, Greater Western Sydney could be the biggest beneficiary of Essendon’s supplement sanctions.
Essendon’s demotion to ninth has given five clubs renewed hope of making the finals, but it’s GWS that is best placed to take advantage of the league stripping the besieged Bombers of their early draft picks in 2013 and 2014.
GWS have made no secret of their intention to be an active player at the trade table, with Giants football manager Graeme Allan declaring in June that even the treasured No.1 pick is on offer.
With Tuesday’s punishments, Essendon have been become their most likely trading partner.
“(GWS list manager) Stephen Silvagni is under instructions to talk to every club about players they might be prepared to trade,” GWS chief executive David Matthews said on Wednesday.
“I think there’s a bit of a sense that, given the draft penalties, Essendon would be more prepared (to trade) than they might otherwise be.
“We’re on the record as saying we want to get more established players in … this might heighten the chance of us doing deals with Essendon.”
Out-of-contract Essendon pair Tom Bellchambers and Stewart Crameri are among the key-position players GWS are understood to be chasing.
There is a school of thought that clubs will be hesitant to bring in talent from the Bombers at the end of the season, with the risk of individual bans still remaining from the ongoing Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) investigation.
“I think there’s ways of doing your due diligence and ensuring any particular penalties or sanctions that might come up down the track, you’re sort of able to plan for that or take that into account,” Matthews said.
“But right now, as Andrew Demetriou said, there hasn’t been any infraction notices issued.
“We’ve got to deal with the facts as they sit in front of us and the facts are that Essendon’s out of the first couple of rounds of the draft … we’d certainly be open to talking to them.”
Meanwhile, GWS coach Kevin Sheedy confirmed James Stewart will debut in Sunday’s clash with Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium.
