Gold Coast vs Fremantle kicks off on Saturday at 7.40pm at Metricon Stadium, with Fremantle expected to win this game from the struggling Suns.  The Dockers will have to watch out for the Gold Coast however, who are coming off a resounding 44 point win against GWS, thanks in part to an in-form Charlie Dixon.  The Dockers will be hungry for the points this week however, and will want to build on the momentum gathered by last weeks win against the Tigers.

Dockers say Bradley’s AFL season over

Fremantle have confirmed key forward Kepler Bradley will need a knee reconstruction, ending his AFL season.

It has been a bad round for knee injuries, with the news coming a day after Collingwood defender Alan Toovey learnt his season was also over.

Toovey will need a reconstruction after rupturing an anterior cruciate ligament with only a few minutes left in the Anzac Day loss to Essendon.

Star Adelaide forward Taylor Walker and Geelong defender Jared Rivers were subbed out of their games on Saturday with knee injuries.

It is not yet clear how badly Walker and Rivers are hurt.

Bradley hurt his knee in Friday night’s one-point win over Richmond.

The Dockers issued a statement on Saturday night, saying Bradley would travel to Melbourne for surgery.

“A medical report has confirmed that the 27-year-old sustained damage to both the anterior cruciate ligament and lateral ligament in his right knee and will undergo a full reconstruction,” the Dockers said.

Bradley’s injury means the Dockers will be further stretched for height in attack.

Captain Matthew Pavlich is also out of action because of injury.

Toovey also adds to a long injury list at Collingwood.

Rivers also suffered a knee injury in the round-one win over Hawthorn.

There is speculation Walker hurt the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

But Crows coach Brenton Sanderson said it was too early to tell and Walker would have scans on Monday.

A posterior cruciate ligament injury is usually a lot less serious than damage to the anterior cruciate ligament, but Walker could still be out of action for several weeks.
