Greater Western Sydney defender Heath Shaw won’t play any part in the Giants’ finals campaign and has three to four months of knee rehab ahead of him, his famous uncle says.
The 32-year-old was thought to be a chance to recover from knee ligament damage – suffered in GWS’s crucial 14-point win over Adelaide on Saturday – if the Giants made the grand final, but Tony Shaw has heard otherwise.
“There might be a bit of insider trading on this one. I can tell you that won’t happen (a grand final return). Rehab will follow (and it) might be over three months before he can get back,” the Collingwood great told Macquarie Sports Radio.
