Geelong Cats vs Richmond Preview
Geelong will look to bounce back in emphatic fashion when it hosts struggling Richmond at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday. The Cats are coming off a dismal 41-point home loss to Brisbane in Patrick Dangerfield’s milestone game and now sit just a game clear inside the top eight.
The Tigers, meanwhile, continue to spiral. A sixth straight loss last week extended a grim run, with their past three defeats coming by an average margin of nearly 10 goals. To make matters worse, Richmond will be without suspended spearhead Tom Lynch and hasn’t won at Kardinia Park since 2006.
Despite a spirited showing in their last meeting—where they led by 29 points before falling by 30—Richmond faces long odds against a Cats side eager to respond. With the Coleman Medal race heating up, expect Jeremy Cameron to target a big haul against a vulnerable Tigers defence.
