Geelong Cats vs Gold Coast Suns 2013 AFL Round 10 preview and tips

The Gold Coast Suns, who had won three from four heading into last week’s game against Hawthorn, have obviously developed a taste for winning games as they led the competition favourites halfway through the third quarter.

The realisation that winning four out of five might’ve been too much for the Suns and they let the lead slide, eventually falling 26 points short.

Despite the loss, the Suns still have good momentum and are in the best form of the Club’s short career.

They do face another massive test, possibly the toughest in the competition this week taking on Geelong at home.

The Cats lost their first and only game so far this season, a fortnight ago when taking on Collingwood (by six points). As they have been in most games this year, they were slow away but mounted a strong comeback in the third quarter that may have just left them a little short of gas in the final stages of the fourth.

The champion side bounced back immediately last week though, handing Port a 48 point defeat.

They’ve met the Suns on three previous occasions and, as expected, where triumphant in each match by margins of 66, 150 and in the most recent encounter, 14.

Would expect that trend to continue here.
