Fyfe out for rest of AFL regular season

Nat Fyfe won’t be seen for Fremantle until the AFL finals series kicks off after suffering an injury to his left leg.

The dashing midfielder and Brownlow Medal favourite has been diagnosed with periostitis; otherwise known as inflammation in the fibula.

Fremantle’s football operations boss Chris Bond said medical advice suggested the 23-year-old should be available again after a two-week break.

Fyfe will miss the home match with Melbourne on Sunday and Fremantle’s trip to play Port Adelaide in round 23.
