Fremantle will look to strengthen its top-four push when it welcomes a struggling Carlton outfit to Optus Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Dockers are in red-hot form, having won nine of their past ten games—including last week’s 49-point derby win over West Coast. Hayden Young’s three-goal return from injury added another weapon to a Freo side hitting its stride at the right time of year.
Carlton, by contrast, continues to falter. The Blues have dropped five of their last six and managed just 66 points per game across that stretch—an ominous sign against Fremantle’s stingy defence, which is conceding under 70 points per match in its last 10 outings.
These sides haven’t met since Gather Round 2024, where the Blues pinched a controversial 10-point win. But on current form and at home, the Dockers look well placed to flip the script and keep their finals charge on track.
