Preview:
The last match of the round is Fremantle vs North Melbourne at Patersons Stadium, Sunday at 2.40PM. Another uneven encounter, the Dockers should clean up good and proper. However, while the Demons lost again last week to the Swans, they did show some promise and may be able to put up some kind of defence. Fremantle should be able to win by a big margin however, especially at home against a North Melbourne side struggling on the road.

AFL fines Demons over runner’s melee role
The AFL has fined Melbourne $2000 after their club runner Andrew Nichol clashed with Richmond forward Jake King during a halftime melee at Sunday’s MCG game.
“A club runner … may not interact with opposition players or the umpires at any time,” the AFL said in a statement on Tuesday.
The Demons said Nichol appeared to stand inadvertently on King’s foot during the melee and he also grabbed King by the jumper.
Nichol has apologised to King and understands he should not have interfered with the melee, Melbourne football manager Josh Mahoney said.
“His sole purpose was to remove Jordie McKenzie from the wrestle, and separate the players,” Mahoney said on the melbournefc.com.au website.
“However, he did tug on the jumper of Jake King, which is a clear breach of the rules.
“Andrew has been in contact with Jake, apologised for the incident, and is well aware of his responsibilities.”
King ($2100) was one of seven players who were fined over the melee.
King’s teammates Alex Rance ($3000), Tyrone Vickery ($2100) and Daniel Jackson ($1200) have also been fined alongside Melbourne trio Nathan Jones ($2100), McKenzie ($1200) and Luke Tapscott ($1200).
Brisbane defender Daniel Merrett has accepted a three-game ban from the AFL’s match review panel for rough conduct after a tackle which knocked out Essendon’s Michael Hurley.
A groggy Hurley was subbed off during Saturday’s round-eight game at Etihad Stadium following the incident which caused the forward’s head to thump into the turf.
Brisbane’s Justin Clarke has accepted a one-match suspension for charging Essendon’s Elliott Kavanagh.
The 14th-placed Brisbane, who upset the Bombers last weekend, host 10th-placed Carlton on Saturday night at the Gabba.
North Melbourne defender Scott Thompson is free to play in Sunday’s game against Adelaide after accepting a reprimand and 60 points towards his future record for striking West Coast’s Matt Rosa.
The AFL Tribunal will not sit on Tuesday night after all players charged from the weekend’s round of matches chose to accept their sanctions.
Brisbane’s Simon Black has been fined $900 for making negligent contact with umpire Stuart Wenn during the first quarter of Saturday’s game against Essendon.
