AFL superstar Lance Franklin has returned to Sydney Swans training for the first time in three months as he continues his battle with mental health issues.
Swans coach John Longmire says it’s an important step in Franklin’s career after he revealed his challenges on the eve of this year’s finals.
“It’s just a good sign that he’s back here and where he wants to be,” he said. “Ultimately he feels really comfortable training and playing. And like any player, that’s what they do.”
