Fletcher calls time on AFL career

Legendary Essendon defender Dustin Fletcher has announced his retirement from AFL football.

Fletcher, 40, made the expected call after failing to get himself fit for a farewell game against Collingwood on Sunday afternoon.

The AFL’s oldest plater will finish up his extraordinary career after 20 years, two premierships and 400 games.
