Essendon blew a golden opportunity to stay inside the top 8 last week and now they need to win to keep their finals hopes alive.

Sydney are all but assured a finals birth now but they will have a top 4 spot in their sights but they will need to win just about every game to secure it.

Essendon can be their own worst enemy and while a win here wouldn’t come as a complete shock, I can’t go against the Swans here.

Market Update: There has been plenty of fluctuations in the market for this game but the end result has seen both teams wind up at their starting prices.

Essendon got to a low of $2.97, a high of $3.34 before settling at $2.92 after this game was moved to the MCG at late notice. Similar for the Swans, they got out to $1.40, then touched $1.33 before settling at $1.41.
