Bomber fans will be in full voice on Sunday following last week’s rousing win over bitter rivals Hawthorn.

The new-look Brad Scott era got off to a fast start with a dominant 59-point victory, headlined by a two-goal game from Sam Weideman, McDonald Tipungwuti brilliant on return, and most importantly, the Bombers quite simply having a good crack.

The chances of the Dons improving to 2-0 are very realistic if you caught even a glimpse of the Suns last week.

For a team fancied to maybe play finals for the first time, Stuart Dew’s men were disappointing in a lackluster 49-point defeat.

Up forward, the Suns were seriously lacking Izak Rankine’s polish, while they were also smash around the stoppages.

Turnovers and some silly free kicks only added to a forgetful day, and for a club likely fighting for a spot in the eight all year, a tough road trip to Melbourne couldn’t have come at a worse time.

To make matters worse, the Bombers have enjoyed their share of the spoils over the Suns dating all the way back to 2016.

Essendon has prevailed in six of the seven contests since, and if their ball movement and accuracy inside 50 is as sharp as it was last week, it’s hard to see the Dons losing this game.
