Geelong have lost three players, including All-Australian midfielder James Kelly, for Friday’s round-20 AFL clash with top-eight rivals West Coast in Perth.
The sixth-placed Cats named inexperienced trio Jonathan Simpkin, Cameron Guthrie and Jordan Murdoch on Thursday in their 22-man line-up in place of Kelly (groin injury), Josh Hunt (quad) and Bille Smedts (calf).
Fifth-placed West Coast have been boosted by the return from suspension of skipper Darren Glass while Norm Smith Medallist Andrew Embley and Jacob Brennan have been recalled.
