West Coast coach Adam Simpson has blasted the way AFL match review officer Michael Christian handled the Nic Naitanui tackle controversy, labelling it as sloppy.
Naitanui was controversially handed a one-week ban for his heavy tackle on Karl Amon that resulted in the Port player’s head hitting the turf.
Simpson was left stunned by Christian’s decision to ban Naitanui over the incident and was angry Christian talked about the incident publicly before the appeal was heard on Wednesday night.
