West Coast midfielder Scott Selwood is in line to make a surprise early return in Saturday’s AFL clash with St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.

But fellow midfielder Dom Sheed will be sidelined for at least a week after fracturing his hand in last Saturday’s win over Gold Coast.

Selwood has been out for the past six weeks because of an ongoing ankle issue, but coach Adam Simpson said the veteran midfielder would travel with the squad to Melbourne.
