West Coast defender Will Schofield says he’s confident fellow backman Jeremy McGovern will return for Saturday night’s blockbuster against Hawthorn in Perth.
McGovern has missed the past two AFL games because of a hamstring injury, but the 23-year-old will attempt to prove his fitness this week as the Eagles try to cement second spot on the ladder.
“I saw him doing some good runs before we left for Gold Coast last week,” Schofield said.
“So generally with a hammy if you’re running the week before, you should be right.”
