Gold Coast coach Rodney Eade believes Harley Bennell has shown he’s ready to make his return to AFL action.
The 22-year-old midfielder will play his first game in three weeks against Adelaide on Saturday after photos of him allegedly using an illicit substance were published in national newspapers.
Eade says Bennell’s punishments were fair and he’s happy to move on and let his player resume his sporting career.
