Fremantle coach Ross Lyon is adamant Aaron Sandilands’ AFL career isn’t over, backing the ageing ruckman to fully recover from his latest hamstring setback.
Sandilands will undergo surgery and miss the rest of the season after damaging a tendon in his right hamstring last Sunday.
The 34-year-old, who suffered a similar injury to his left hamstring in 2013, is contracted for next season, and Lyon is confident Sandilands will be able to play a meaningful role in 2018.
