Fremantle midfielder Michael Barlow has fallen just short in his bid to make an early return from a finger injury for Saturday night’s AFL clash with Melbourne in Darwin.
Barlow was keen to play despite undergoing finger surgery last week, but coach Ross Lyon says it’s too risky to bring him back this weekend.
Ruckman Jon Griffin and defender Garrick Ibbotson will return from injury, while Anthony Morabito will play in the WAFL after recovering from an ankle injury.
