Essendon star Joe Daniher is happy to focus solely on football as discussions continue between his manager and the Bombers over a lucrative new contract offer.

Coach John Worsfold said recently that getting the out-of-contract key forward to agree to a new deal was the most pressing issue facing the AFL club.

“My management can look after that, they can look after those issues – I’m here to concentrate on being the best footballer I can for the football club,” the 23-year-old Daniher said on Monday.
