Cunnington, Krakouer accept AFL game ban

North Melbourne onballer Ben Cunnington and Port Adelaide’s Nathan Krakouer will both miss round one after accepting a ban from the AFL’s match review panel.

The pair pleaded guilty to charges of engaging in rough conduct in their pre-season matches against St Kilda and Hawthorn respectively.

Cunnington will miss the Roos’ season-opener against West Coast while Krakouer will sit out the Power’s round-one clash against Sydney.

The pair faced two game suspensions if they contested the charges and were found guilty by the AFL Tribunal.

In the only other charge laid by the MRP, Melbourne’s Jesse Hogan has accepted a $1000 fine for a first offence of making contact with an umpire.
