Crows undecided on Cy Walsh court hearing

Adelaide are yet to decide if they’ll seek to have court proceedings relating to the alleged murder of former coach Phil Walsh pushed back until after the AFL grand final.

Cy Walsh is due to face the SA Supreme Court on September 28 – three days before the grand final – charged with murdering his father in July 2015, and it’s expected the hearing could lead to previously suppressed details of the alleged crime being revealed.

The Crows have firmed as premiership contenders in recent weeks but chief executive Andrew Fagan says it’s too early to tell whether they’ll seek to have the hearing pushed back to prevent players from being distracted.
