Crows rue sloppy kicking: Talia

Adelaide defender Daniel Talia says there’s no quick fix as the Crows grapple with consecutive AFL losses.

Both defeats have been marred by sloppy kicking, leaving the Crows with three wins and two losses.

“You have just got to keep working on your skills, it’s not an easy fix … it’s not going to happen maybe this week or the week after, but over time hopefully we improve that area of our game,” Talia told reporters on Monday.

The Crows missed several shots at goal in a 24-point loss to Port Adelaide on Sunday.

“Some games just pan out that way,” Talia said.

“And you have got to give credit to the way Port Adelaide defend as well. They’re a quality backline and were able to stop our forward kicks.”

Adelaide have concern over key onballer Rory Sloane, who suffered a corked calf in Sunday’s 24-point loss to Port Adelaide.

Sloane and defender Ricky Henderson, who copped a chest injury, will face fitness tests later this week to determine their availability for an away trip to the Gold Coast.
