Adelaide’s emerging forward Mitch McGovern could miss months of the AFL season because of a hamstring injury.
Scans have revealed McGovern suffered significant damage to his right hamstring when injured during Saturday night’s win against Port Adelaide.
“We will consult specialists and come up with a plan of action. It’s fair to say he will spend a period of time on the sidelines,” Adelaide’s high performance manager Matt Hass told the club website.
