Hawthorn star Shaun Burgoyne has paid an eloquent tribute to Phil Walsh, saying he had a profound impact on his AFL career.
Burgoyne said on Monday he would not have started his senior football career so early at Port Adelaide without the guidance of coaches like Walsh.
The utility and Hawks senior coach Alastair Clarkson are among about half a dozen people at the club who worked with Walsh in their days at Port Adelaide.
