Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley suspects there is no clear-cut solution that will make the AFL’s controversial video review a perfect system.

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick was again fuming about the score reviews after Sunday’s win over the Magpies.

Goals to Tigers forwards Josh Caddy and Jack Riewoldt were overturned on review.

Hardwick said the reviews take too long and he noted it was unclear why Caddy’s goal was disallowed.

It turned out Caddy’s kick was touched off the boot, but the only video shown on the MCG scoreboard during the review was what happened at the goal line.

Sunday’s’ reviews come less than a month after a bizarre incident when the reviewer ruled a goal to Richmond, even though Hawthorn defender Jack Gunston was the last player to touch the ball.

The umpires had to quickly step in to change the score to a Richmond rushed behind and Hardwick was also frustrated by that incident.

“We all want to get the decision right,” Buckley said.

“Everyone who’s in the spotlight is paranoid about making blues, but no-one’s perfect.

“We want to impose a perfect system – the umpires aren’t perfect, they miss stuff, I’m not perfect, I miss stuff. We don’t get everything right.

“Would you accept 95 per cent accuracy? Because you’re going to get that without the goal review and I don’t know we’re getting 100 even with it.”
