Brisbane Lions co-captain Jonathan Brown will risk a two-match suspension when he challenges a striking charge at the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.
Brown could have accepted a one-match ban had he decided to lodge an early guilty plea for the level-three offence against Carlton fullback Michael Jamison in Saturday night’s match at the Gabba.
If he is unsuccessful in contesting the charge, Brown will miss the Lions’ upcoming matches against Collingwood and Fremantle.
North Melbourne midfielder Jack Ziebell has accepted a three-match ban for his bump on Adelaide’s Jarrod Lyons.
