Round 2 of the AFL season starts tonight at The Gabba in Brisbane between home team Brisbane Lions and away team Carlton Blues. The match is programmed to commence at 7:40pm and will be televised on free to air tv (channel 7) as well as pay tv on Fox Footy. Both teams are coming off 40+ point victories and hoping to make an unbeaten start to the season.

Brisbane Lions are coming off just a five day break where they beat Melbourne Demons at home by 41 points. Brisbane’s midfield was exceptional last week with the best players being Tom Rockliff, James Polkinghorne and Pearce Hanley. The doubt for the Lions will be if they have someone who is able to mark Carlton’s star player ‘Chris Judd’ if they are able to stop him tonight then Brisbane are in with a good chance of causing another upset at home.

Carlton Blues tall players last week stood out in a match they were backed to lose, Matthew Kreuzer and Shaun Hampson were the stand outs for the match. Chris Judd looks like he may have an easy game in the midfield with no notable markers in the Lions team able to take him out of the game.
