Essendon coach John Worsfold has ruled out Michael Hurley for Sunday’s must-win AFL game against Fremantle as the defender recovers from a calf injury.
Retiring star Jobe Watson is a chance to return after a week’s rest as the Bombers aim to cement their finals berth, but Worsfold said that call will be made on Thursday.
“Providing Jobe is feeling really fresh and ready to go, I’d say he’d be playing, but I haven’t had that conversation with him yet,” Worsfold said.
