Essendon top-10 draft pick Aaron Francis was carried off the ground with an ankle injury during Wednesday’s AFL intraclub game at Tullarmarine.
But coach John Worsfold was hopeful that the No.6 in the 2015 draft, who was restricted to only three senior games last year because of injury, would recover quickly.
“He has fairly loose ankles anyway, so we’re confident it’s not a serious sprain … hopefully Aaron will be back up running pretty quick,” Worsfold said.
