Bombers’ Chapman announces AFL retirement

Essendon veteran Paul Chapman has announced his retirement and will play his last AFL game when the Bombers take on Richmond on Saturday night.

Chapman, a three-time premiership player with Geelong, joined Essendon ahead of the 2014 season.

The 33-year-old will bring his career to a close with a tally of 280 games.

“I’ve got one more game to go out and have some fun and hopefully have a win with these guys,” Chapman told the club’s website.
