Fremantle forward Hayden Ballantyne will be the only player fronting the AFL tribunal on Wednesday night.
The match review panel referred Ballantyne’s rough conduct charge directly to the tribunal, meaning he could not take an early plea.
Ballantyne’s high bump left Adelaide player Matthew Jaensch concussed.
But the case is unusual because the panel decided their grading for the incident, plus Ballantyne’s carryover points, would have meant too high a penalty.
So they referred the case to the tribunal to let them decide.
All other players have accepted their penalties, meaning out-of-form Richmond will lose Ty Vickery and Matt Thomas through suspension for Saturday’s MCG game against Fremantle.
Vickery will miss two games because of striking and Thomas is out for one game on a rough conduct charge.
