Anzac Day AFL teams as named

Collingwood and Essendon have gone with their selected sides for the AFL Anzac Day blockbuster at the MCG.

There had been speculation the Magpies might have made late changes to their 22.

Collingwood brought in Kirk Ugle for his AFL debut and also recalled key defender Nathan Brown for his first senior match since the 2010 grand final.

Essendon coach James Hird said on the weekend that they could make up to six changes to cater for the four-day turnaround between matches.

But they only recalled Jake Carlisle for key forward Michael Hurley, who hurt his hamstring in the win over Carlton.

Conditions are cold and wet at the MCG for Wednesday’s traditional match, which should attract a crowd of 80,000 despite the poor weather.
