AFL club Western Bulldogs have secured young midfielder Koby Stevens from West Coast in a trade completed on Wednesday.
Stevens, 21, played 11 games in three seasons for the Eagles – finding it difficult to command a regular place amid tough competition for midfield places.
He played four senior matches in 2012.
The Bulldogs will give up the No.44 pick – a late second-round choice – for Stevens.
Originally from Victoria, Stevens had nominated the Bulldogs as his preferred destination.
List manager Jason McCartney says Stevens is a welcome addition to the Bulldogs’ developing midfield stocks.
“Koby is a high-quality person, with outstanding training habits and will add depth to the club’s midfield,” McCartney said.
