The AFL tribunal has fined Carlton veteran Dale Thomas $7500 for abusing boundary umpire Michael Barlow during Sunday’s heavy loss to GWS.
Thomas pleaded guilty after he was referred directly to the tribunal for the incident.
He rang Barlow earlier on Tuesday and apologised for calling him a cheat, among other insults.
