The AFL will formally warn Hayden Ballantyne after the Fremantle star was caught using his mobile phone during last Friday’s pre-season match.
An investigation found Ballantyne was talking to a relative in the dressing rooms after he left the game against Richmond with a hamstring injury.
TV footage emerged of Ballantyne making the phone call – a big mistake given AFL integrity rules related to gambling.
