Geelong has been heavily supported to continue its recent trend of positive response to Qualifying Final defeat with the Cats accounting for 87% of money wagered with JAB on tonight’s AFL semi-final.
The Cats opened $1.53, tightened into $1.42 after news of Toby Greene’s report and have since shortened to $1.38. The biggest bet taken on either of this week’s matches has been $15,000 on Geelong at the current price. GWS has been $2.50 out to $3.10.
Geelong has won just five of 14 finals since 2016, but it is unbeaten in Week 2 of the finals in that time, having recorded semi-final wins over Sydney (2017), West Coast (2019) and Collingwood (2020).
Money has been more evenly-split in tomorrow’s semi, but Brisbane has tightened up from its Sunday night quote of $1.77 to $1.60 with the Bulldogs $2.05 out to $2.35.
