The favourites for the AFL’s three premier individual awards are all $2 or shorter for the first time this season and TAB has struck a special for them to complete the trifecta.
Punters can get $6 about Marcus Bontempelli winning the Brownlow Medal, Harry McKay claiming the Coleman Medal and Tom Green being crowned the Rising Star in a special available in the AFL Season Exotics section.
Bontempelli tightened from $2.40 into $2 after another best-afield on Saturday, McKay is $1.50 despite missing last weekend and Green is into $1.80. Multiplying the odds brings the treble out at $5.40.
One TAB punter thinks Green has done enough to clinch the Rising Star, placing $20,000 on the GWS midfielder on Monday morning at $1.90, forcing his price into his season-low quote.
Geelong is also into the shortest price of any team this year in premiership betting, into $4 outright favourites off the back of a comfortable win over Richmond, which came two days after one punter had $25,000 on the Cats at $4.50.
