Preview:
The last match of Round 21 is between the Western Bulldogs and Adelaide, kicking off at 4.40pm on Sunday at Etihad Stadium. At least we have been given a much
closer contest to end the round, with the Crows ever so slight favourites to take home the points. The Bulldogs have won two of their last three matches, however, and
could win here as well if they find a way to slow down Rory Sloane and Patrick Dangerfied.

Crows move to secure coach Sanderson
Adelaide coach Brenton Sanderson says he’d be thrilled to sign a contract extension with his AFL club, who have opened negotiations a year before his current deal expires.
Crows officials are believed to have initiated talks with Sanderson’s management but the coach, while keen, saw no reason for urgency.
“I’m still in contract for next year so there is certainly no rush. I haven’t spoken to anyone about it, to be honest,” Sanderson told reporters on Thursday.
“If it ends up that the club offers me a contract extension, I would be really thrilled with that.
“If the club says to me they’d like to extend my contract, I’d certainly sit down with them.
“But whether it’s the end of this year or the end of next year, it’s no real issue for me.”
Sanderson’s second season at the Crows has been difficult, with injuries and inconsistent form leaving Adelaide with just eight wins entering Sunday’s match against the Western Bulldogs.
But the former Geelong assistant said he had a healthy relationship with the Crows, who were beaten preliminary finalists in his first season in charge.
“The relationship is really strong, I do really like it here,” he said.
“I have become quickly attached to this young (playing) group.”
Sanderson said Brisbane’s sacking this week of their coach Michael Voss, and Fremantle’s audacious poaching of ex-St Kilda mentor Ross Lyon in late 2011, evidenced “the changing landscape with coaching”.
“Success is really important – you have got to have a side that has sustained success,” he said.
“You have got have a short term and a long term vision of where you want the club to go.
“I’m really excited with the move to Adelaide Oval next year, we get a few guys back from injury – I think we’re going to be a really strong young side for a few years to come, the future is really bright.”
AFL games in South Australia will move from AAMI Stadium to a redeveloped Adelaide Oval from next season.
