In-demand Richmond key defender Alex Rance has unrestricted AFL free agent status, raising the stakes of his future with the Tigers.
Rance has put off contract negotiations with the club until the end of this season.
His status was the most notable feature in the list of restricted and unrestricted free agents that the league made public on Tuesday.
As an unrestricted free agent, if Rance decides to leave the Tigers at the end of the season they can do nothing about it.
