AFL Grand Final Norm Smith Medal Odds, Big Bets and Betting Preview – 2021

Christian Petracca is favourite but TAB punters have thrown their weight behind Clayton Oliver to be crowned the Norm Smith Medallist in tomorrow’s AFL Grand Final.

Oliver, who was an $11 chance when TAB released the Norm Smith market on August 23, is responsible for 22% of the money wagered on that market, including a $2500 bet at his current price of $7.

Marcus Bontempelli (opened $21, now $8) and Max Gawn (opened $13, now $9) each account for 10% of the market with $6 favourite Petracca (opened $11) the next most popular at 9%.

Bailey Smith, a $15 chance, holds 8% of the Norm Smith Market and is the second most popular player in the First Goalscorer market despite being a $21 chance. Ben Brown, one of three $10 co-favourites, is the most popular First Goalscorer prospect with 15%.

Betting on the match result is almost evenly split, with 53% on money on the Bulldogs ($2.25) and 47% on Melbourne ($1.65) with the two teams the same prices they were hours after the Preliminary Finals.
