Punters are tipping Lance Franklin will pay early dividends for the Swans, with big Buddy priced as the $2.60 favourite with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au to kick the most goals in the Sydney Derby this weekend.
Despite an injury cloud, the Giants’ Jeremy Cameron is next in the market at $4.00.
Round 1 week 1 preview update:
· Collingwood v Fremantle: This game has turned on its head from a punting point of view. The Pies were the best backed earlier in the week, but since then all of the money has come for Fremantle and they are now the best backed team for the weekend. They have firmed from $1.72 to $1.62 while Collingwood are out from $2.12 to $2.35.
· GWS v Sydney: Not a lot of punter love for the Giants and as a result they have drifted from $11 to $12. The best backed exotic market has been the leading goalkicker market, with Buddy and Cameron the only two punters want to be on.
· Gold Coast v Richmond: The money has been very steady for the Tigers and as a result they have firmed from $1.53 to $1.48. Gold Coast are on the drift from $2.50 to $2.70.
· Carlton v Port Adelaide: Punters couldn’t split these two earlier in the week, but its now Port who have been the best backed team.
“The Swans vs Giants match is pretty one sided, but punters are taking a real interest in Buddy vs Cameron. Whoever finds the goals this weekend will have pretty big bragging rights to be the best forward in town,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson.
