Gary Ablett will return in the 2017 pre-season NAB Challenge after the Gold Coast captain successfully underwent shoulder surgery.
Suns coach Rodney Eade said Ablett would be back into full contact within four months after going under the knife on Wednesday.
“You would think at this stage he would be right for NAB Cup,” Eade said.
