Gold Coast midfielder Gary Ablett is a “massive chance” to overcome a hamstring injury and play in the Suns’ final AFL game of the season against Port Adelaide on Saturday.
Ablett played in the Suns’ first eight games of the season, leading them to victories against Hawthorn and Geelong.
But he has missed seven of the past 14, including six of the past nine, and the Suns have lost on each of those occasions.
Interim coach Dean Solomon said Ablett would train on Thursday and provided he pulled up well on Friday was likely to return for the final game of the season.
