Wet weather delays start of Birmingham ODI

Wet weather is set to delay the start of play in the third one-day international between Australia and England in Birmingham.

Light rain meant the covers were on the pitch at Edgbaston on Wednesday afternoon, with umpires delaying the toss indefinitely ahead of the 2pm (11pm AEST) scheduled start.

More rain is forecast on Wednesday evening.

Australia lead the five-game series 1-0 after an 88-run win in Manchester on Sunday.

The first game of the series in Leeds was washed out without a ball being bowled.
