As you’d expect with the 15th placed Western Bulldogs hosting 3rd placed Sydney Swans, the market is a lob-sided one in the Swans favour.
Sydney made it five wins in a row last week with a strong display over Richmond at the SCG. It was the Swans’ eighth win in the past nine matches with their average winning margin over this period of time being 53 points.
They’ve been asked to give the Western Bulldogs 42.5 start here, which on the above statistic, looks well within Sydney’s reach.
The Bulldogs have produced some better efforts in the past month which include a competitive effort at Hawthorn (97 – 76) and last week, a win over West Coast 111 – 89.
The Bulldogs are only playing for pride, there appears to be a bit of it in their recent performances and whilst a win against Sydney may still be out of their reach, would expect a much better effort than they produced in either of last year’s clashes against the Swans, who won both by margins of 92 and 82 points.
