The final match of the round, as it always is between these two local sides, should be a beauty.
Fremantle boast a 10-3-1 record this season and are currently in fifth spot compared to West Coast’s 7-7 and ninth position.
Fremantle’s only loss in the past five weeks has been to Geelong and last week they were comfortable winners over St. Kilda by 30 points.
They’ll be looking to make it three consecutive wins over their rivals here having won the last two by margins of 65 and 28.
However as West Coast, who sit outside the eight by one win, showed last week when defeating Adelaide by 6 points, they’re preparing to fight to the end for a spot in the finals and know the importance of every game now even with seven rounds to go.
The Adelaide win followed tenacious efforts, albeit losing ones, against Hawthorn (defeated by 20 points) and Essendon (defeated by 7 points).
After a slow start to the season the Eagles are slowly building and this will be a good test of their final credentials as we head into the back of the season.
Can’t knock Fremantle’s form this year and whilst tipping them to win, there won’t be much in this game.
