Race One: Sportingbet Hcp 1000m Form Guide

Back Me: Miss Steele ran third in a very strong form race on debut and she was doing her best work late. Has been given just over a month to recover from that run and she looks to be the horse to beat.
Don’t Back Me: Under The Louvre was very impressive on debut winning by four lengths in the country although the two horses who finished behind him have raced since and neither have won. This race looks strong and he doesn’t provide any value.
Big Danger: Romancingthestone was too strong last start at Geelong leading all of the way. There shouldn’t be too much speed in this race and she should get an easy lead and be hard to run down.
Roughie:More Than Sweet trialled well early in the season against some good horses and showed some talent. Has been given plenty of time to mature and should race well on debut.

Race Two: Aquanas Foods Hcp 1000m Form Guide

Back Me: Day Procedure takes a step back in class here after racing in some strong races of late. He has a very good track and distance record and has been weighted to win on Saturday.
Don’t Back Me: Elite Elle was disappointing last start when leading and tiring early in the straight. This race looks to have a good amount of speed which won’t help her and the 60kg is a worry.
Big Danger: Impulse Buy has gone close at his past four starts and he finds a very winnable race here with his chances being boosted with a weight drop. From barrier 1 will get the sit on the leaders.
Roughie: Prelusive Strike didn’t show much last start but did win his two previous races before that. Will get a good run in transit from the barrier and will be having the last crack at them.

Race Three: Simpson Construction Hcp 1200m Form Guide

Back Me: Octavia was super impressive last start when winning the Listed Kevin Hayes Stakes. Has won at Moonee Valley before and has a great record over the distance and from barrier 6 should get all the favours in the run.
Don’t Back Me: She Can Skate has won her last two starts well although on paper this race looks to have a lot of speed in it which wont give her any favours and is likely to be tested throughout the race and with the big weight that is a big minus for her.
Big Danger: Truffle did it tough last start with the big weight and wasn’t far away which was a big effort. Drops a lot of weight here and if she can get a good run from barrier 10 im expecting her to go very close.
Roughie: Nadeem Lass won coming from the back of the field last start and is likely to race in a similar pattern here. With the speed in the race it could set it up for her and she will be finishing well late.

Race Four: Dominant Travis Harrison Cup 1600m Form Guide

Back Me: Imoto should be ridden forward on Saturday which she is capable of doing which will take the wide gate out of the equation. There doesn’t look to be much speed in the race and should get an untested lead and be too good to run down. Loves the distance and gets in the weights well.
Don’t Back Me: Rememba Howe has had nine starts over the distance without winning and he meets a quality field here. Others preferred.
Big Danger: Pipette was weak last start when jumping as favourite at Randwick. This race is a lot easier than that task and if she can handle Moonee Valley she will go close.
Roughie: Danish Whiskey hit the line well last start and looked like she would be winning soon. Has no weight on her back with the claim and should run a big race at odds.

Race Five: Dominant Hcp 2040m Form Guide

Back Me: Friday Hussy went back in a slowly run race last start and wasn’t given any chance with a poor ride. Drops in weight here and gets talented jockey Chad Schofield on board which will give her every chance. Enough speed to cart her into the race nicely.
Don’t Back Me: Oregon Spirit has had eight starts at the track for just the one win which isn’t a great strike rate. Finds a good field here and from barrier 10 i doubt he can win on Saturday.
Big Danger: Mr O’ceirin got a lot of favours last start and gapped the field winning well. Unlikely to get those favours again here and the increase in weight is a little concern but will be very hard to beat despite being bad value in the odds.
Roughie: Upbeat i think has race well at her three starts this campaign despite finishing mid field in all three attempts. She is a very talented horse on her day and at her best she would be winning this.

Race Six: Alternate Railway Hcp 1600m Form Guide

Back Me: Spacecraft showed he was back to his best last start when winning super impressively. Gets in very well in the weights here and with the 3kg claim and inside barrier he will be very hard to run down on Saturday.
Don’t Back Me: Under The Eiffel won well last start although i don’t think it was a very good form race. Has been given the top weight of 60kg and will be tucked away on the fence heading into the straight which concerns me.
Big Danger: Storm Burst is coming out of the best form races and he hasn’t been too far away in any of those runs. Will need a bit of luck from barrier 10 but is capable of beating this field.
Roughie: Full Hand drops a lot of weight from his last run when winning at Wodonga. Before that he was competitive in good form races in town and looks the best value in the race.

Race Seven: Programmed Property Serv. Hcp 1200m Form Guide

Back Me: Mosse Diva missed the jump last start and didn’t find clear running heading into the straight so im happy to put a line through that run. Has been racing in some very good races and has won both of her second up runs. Looks the winner and at $8 can be backed each way.
Don’t Back Me: Draw Forward went back in a quickly run race last start so had it set up for her. Doubt she will get the same favours here and against better horses wont be winning.
Big Danger: Serene Star has to carry the big weight in the race but the 3kg claim will definitely help her chances. Put in a big performance last start with big weight against quality opposition and this race looks a lot easier.
Roughie: Caprossa has been a little disappointing her last two starts but she wasn’t disgraced. Drops in weight here and draws a good barrier, if she can find her best she will be right in this.

Back Me: Flyingconi didn’t handle the heavy track last start so you can put a line through that run. The start before that he ran very well with a big weight in similar class. Has placed both times over the track and distance and will go close at massive odds of $26.
Don’t Back Me: Henwood won well last start and drops weight although he failed at his only try at the track and has only run one third from two starts over the distance. Can win but a risk at the odds.
Big Danger: Tackleberry has a fantastic record over the distance and if he can get a decent run from the wide barrier he will be in the finish.
Roughie: Clear For Action will be having his first start in Australia but he has shown in Singapore that he is a very talented galloper and should be kept safe on Saturday.
